I want to upgrade Surveyor/400 to our development iSeries first. How can I do that without having to upgrade production too?

We recommend that all systems are updated at the same time. If a user wants to use Surveyor/400 with a backend version of 29xx and 3.x, the user will have to have 2 copies of Surveyor/400 on the workstation. The easiest way to do this is to copy the folder C:\Program Files\Linoma Software\Surveyor to a new folder, like C:\Program Files\Linoma Software\Surveyor2909.

At this point the user either has 2 copies of version 29xx or 2 copies of version 3.xx.

If the user has 2 copies of 29xx, upgrade one of the copies by either using the Web Update feature or download the 3.xx version from our web site http://www.linomasoftware.com/download/.

If the user has 2 copies of 3.xx, the user can downgrade the 3.1 version in folder C:\Program Files\Linoma Software\Surveyor2909 to 2909 by downloading file surveyor290909_update.zip from our web site at http://www.linomasoftware.com/products/surveyor/updates
