In the Surveyor/400 Help Menu, there is an option called Web Update. This can be used to make sure you have the latest release.
To perform a web update you must have an active Internet connection. To do this, you should access the Help menu and choose "Web Update". Surveyor/400 will then compare your version with the version on our web site. If there is a later version on our site, you will be prompted to upgrade to the latest version. If you accept, the latest version of Surveyor/400 will be sent down to your workstation. Once finished, restart Surveyor/400 and the updates will be automatically applied. We recommend doing a Web Update about once a month.
To make the updates available to other Surveyor/400 users and to use the scheduled import/export features, right-click on the AS/400 icon on the left panel and select "Update Server". This option will send the latest Surveyor/400 code to your AS/400's IFS. When a user connects to that AS/400 using Surveyor/400, they may use the "Check for Updates" feature, available by right-clicking on the AS/400, to upload the new version to their workstation. |
