This page is intended for users who are unable to update Surveyor/400 by using the 'Web Update' (located on the Help - About menu) or 'Check for Updates' (right-click on iSeries) features.

Ideally a Surveyor/400 Administrator obtains the update via the Web Update and the uses the 'Update Server' (right-click on iSeries) feature to update the iSeries. The users in turn can obtain the update by using the 'Check for Updates' (right-click on iSeries) feature. A preference can be set to 'Check for Updates'(Check for updates on IFS) periodically.

If you have version 3.x.x and are unable to use Web Update or Check for Updates, you may download the latest updates in the below zip file.

This update will upgrade version 3.0.x to 3.5.9.

Read the installation instructions carefully because they are not included in the download.

Installation:

1. Perform a right-click on surveyor3_5_9_update.zip(18MB) and select the "Save Target As..." option to save the this file to your workstation.
2. Close Surveyor/400!
3. Extract all of the files to the \Surveyor\lib folder. For Windows the default directory is: C:\Program Files\Linoma Software\Surveyor\lib
4. Restart Surveyor/400. The version number on the Help - About menu should be 3.5.9

Version 2909.09 The below update is for the following situations.

• You have a version less than 2909.09 and would like to upgrade to 3.x.x. First download this update and update your workstation to 2909.09. Then connect to your iSeries to upgrade to 3.x.x.
• You have version 3.x.x and would like to downgrade to 2909.09.
• You have version 29xx and would like to upgrade to 2909.09.

Installation:

1. Perform a right-click on surveyor290909_update.zip(13MB) and select the "Save Target As..." option to save the this file to your workstation.
2. Close Surveyor/400!
3. Extract all of the files to the \Surveyor\lib folder. For Windows the default directory is: C:\Program Files\Linoma Software\Surveyor\lib
   Note: If you are downgrading, delete all of the files to the \Surveyor\lib folder first.
   Note: If your current version is 2908 or lower, you will also need to Perform a right-click on Surveyor.lax and select the "Save Target As..." option to save the this file to your workstation in the
   C:\Program Files\Linoma Software\Surveyor directory.
4. Restart Surveyor/400. The version number on the Help - About menu should be 2909.09.

Use the 'Update Server' feature to distribute this version to other uses. To view a list of the latest changes either visit the Release Notes page or after installation use the Help -> Changes menu option.
